This is a legal and binding contract concerning the purchase of a Purebred Ragdoll kitten from TashasDolls Ragdolls Cattery of Puyallup, WA.
This Contract is designed to protect the Buyer, the Breeder, and the welfare of the kitten.

BREEDER:
- Kitten is healthy to the best of the breeder’s knowledge at the time of purchase. The kitten had all the age-appropriate vaccinations, any necessary deworming’s and treated for fleas (if necessary) at the time of adoption.
- Breeder will provide a pet record listing all vaccinations and the dates thus far.
- Buyer is responsible for all kitten/cat vaccinations after 12 weeks.
- Buyer has 72 hours to take the kitten to the vet for a health exam, if any major health concerns are found, the buyer may return kitten to the seller within 72 hours with an explanation from the attending vet. No medical or travel charges will be refunded.
- During this first 72 hours, the kitten should be isolated from any other pets and monitored for health, eating, litter box usage and activity level.
- The kitten’s mother and father are negative/negative for the two known HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) genes.
- The breeder guarantees for ONE YEAR that if a fatal defect occurs because of a genetic or congenital defect the breeder will replace the kitten (fewer shipping charges and veterinary expenses). A histopathology/necropsy report (at buyer’s expense) from a licensed, board-certified veterinarian is absolutely required.
- Viral diseases (including Feline Infectious Peritonitis or FIP), parasites or bacterial infections are not covered by this health guarantee, including the first 72 hours of possession of the kitten.
- Breeder does not warranty the cat/kitten from any adverse reactions against future vaccinations or any other procedures/surgery performed on the cat/kitten including spay/neuter.
- The kitten(s) will be registered with The International Cat Association (TICA) as a breeding or non-breeding kitten depending on the agreement between breeder and adopter.
- If the kitten is found to be neglected by the Adopter, in ill health, or if the adopter does not abide by the terms of this contract, the Adopter will surrender said kitten/cat to the Breeder unconditionally.
ADOPTER:
- These are strictly indoor cats only. DO NOT ever expose to unknown outdoor cats/animals. Allowing your kitten outdoors where it may be exposed to diseases, fleas, ticks, and parasites, voids the health guarantee. Under no circumstances is the kitten/cat to be declawed!
- The adopter agrees to provide the kitten with a clean, pleasant environment, and adequate space for exercise. At least one litter box will be provided per pair of kittens/cats in the household and will be kept clean. The kitten/cat will not be kept in a cage unless necessary for the cat’s safety or health.
- The adopter will provide the kitten with proper nutrition and fresh water daily.
- Adopter is responsible for ALL veterinary expenses incurred after acquiring kitten(s). If within the 72 hour period, if found to be seriously medically deficient, the breeder will take the kitten back and refund payment, less deposit or shipping charges, under following conditions, the breeder is provided with proper documentation form a licensed vet stating the medical issue and that the cat/kitten is seriously medically deficient; a second examination by a vet of the breeders choice corroborates these claims. The kitten is not guaranteed against respiratory disease, ringworms, or any nuisance disease. After the 48-hour period, the breeder can no longer guarantee the cats health, except for birth defects.
- Adopter will ensure that the kitten has the recommended routine vaccinations and worming’s to maintain the health of the kitten.
- Adopter agrees to have the kitten spayed/neutered by the age of 7 months. If fail to spay/neutered by 7 months, the one year health guarantee will be revoked. .
- Written proof of the neuter/spay from your vet is required if you want registration papers for your kitten(s).
- If the breeder does not receive proof of the spay/neuter prior to the kitten reaching 8 months of age, TICA registration will be destroyed, and the one-year health guarantee will be revoked.
- Adopter is responsible for allergies, landlord issues, housetraining, and behavior.
- If you should no longer be able to keep your kitten, we will work with you to help you find a suitable home. No refunds will be issued if you are not able to keep your kitten. Kitten is not to be sold under any circumstances. If kitten is found to have been sold or given away, the health guarantee is void and is not transferrable.
- If adopter violates any of the terms of this contract breeder has the right to recover the kitten(s) and adopter will comply by returning kitten(s) to breeder with NO REFUND/REIMBURSEMENT.
Breeding:
- Breeding of an unaltered TashasDolls Ragdoll without specific breeding rights is strictly prohibited. The breeder may elect to proceed with legal action if it is discovered that the adopter is breeding a TashasDolls Ragdoll. All legal proceedings will take place within Pierce County of the State of Washington, Breeder’s residence.
- At any point, a TashasDolls Ragdoll is sold as a Breeder and the Adopter decides to close their Cattery, retire (stop breeding) the breeder and/or Rehome the Breeder, the Adopter MUST:
- Contact TashasDolls Ragdolls for first buy option.
- Obtain permission from TashasDolls Ragdolls to sell as a breeder.
- For Rehoming, buyer MUST have the breeder Altered (spay or neutered) BEFORE leaving for new home.
- TashasDolls Ragdolls REQUIRES Proof of Altering from Adopter’s Veterinarian BEFORE the Adult Ragdoll can go to new home.
